Gospel music didn’t earn me any money – Daddy KEM
Popular Ghanaian gospel artist, Emmanuel Antwi (Pas Emmas) now “Daddy KEM” who recently switched from gospel to highlife has dived into the secrecy of Ghanaian gospel artistes to reveal the cat out of the bucket.
Emmanuel Antwi now known as Daddy KEM who was speaking with TrendingGhana.net/ TrendingSongs.net exposed that all his gospel albums did not earn him any money.
He expressed confidence that it cuts across all spheres of artistes in the country.
“I did not get any notable money from my gospel songs, listen, it’s not me alone but a lot of gospel artistes don’t get money from their gospel songs”. He revealed.
This revelation follows his recent switch from gospel song to high life.
He believes holding on to gospel songs will pave way for him to enter into high life which according to him would be the pivot of his life from grass to grace.
Among other things he mentioned as what sponsored his change of mind from gospel to high life are lack of love and the fact that gospel artistes don’t get anything in gospel as in monetary.
According to him, the support alone he is getting in the recording of his single highlife track yet to be release cannot be compared with all his gospel albums.
Daddy Kem is also convinced that performing highlife isn’t a sin.
“It is not a sin to perform highlife just as gospel, and I am not saying I will not sing gospel again,”
He However refuted claims by his critics that, his new move is a way of money making.
